2023 Releases & 4 Year Anniversary

2022 has been a milestone year for Hollis House, LLC. The first film production under HH, Quarantine, Actually made its film festival rounds, becoming an Official Selection at three major film festivals: Global Lift-Off Network Los Angeles, Global Lift-Off Network Hollywood’s First-Time Filmmaker Showcase, and the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival where it won Best First Feature. Writer/Director/Producer and Founder of Hollis House Angela Hilario and Producer Marisa Kristine Hernandez were in Toronto to accept the award.

Kwento-Kwento Podcast was also dubbed one of the top 15% most shared podcasts globally by Spotify Wrapped, and 2022 also marked the launch of Hollis House’s newest podcast production, It’s Okay To Buy Another Book!

We also celebrated the one year anniversary of Hollis House’s first children’s book, Grandpa’s Our Hero written by Marisa Kristine Hernandez and illustrated by Jeremy Wells.

As we are thankful for the accomplishments of 2022, we look forward to 2023 with utmost positivity as it will be our four year anniversary. It’s Okay To Buy Another Book will premiere Sunday January 29, 2023 and Kwento-Kwento Podcast will return with a new time slot with regular episodes every Thursday on February 2, 2023. Season 4 of Kwento-Kwento will feature an all-Filipino guest line-up.

2023 will also be monumental for the publishing branch of Hollis House. Back to You, the second novel by resident romance author Milena Sy will be released Spring 2023, and the second novel by Angela Hilario Painting Saints will also be released mid-2023. We can’t wait to announce novels by two brand-new authors published under HH.

Quarantine, Actually will also be released to rent/buy early in the year. Please stay tuned for announcements.
