About the author.

Rishire Young is an author, actress, and dog mom. At the age of 15, she lost her mother and twin sister in a tragic car accident and has been working through her grief ever since. By speaking at youth grief retreats and contributing to a book about grief, Rishire finds meaning in her mourning. After graduating from New York University with a Bachelor's in Music, having majored in music business and minored in creative writing, she settled in Brooklyn. Rishire loves to read, write, and try new things. She enjoys exploring different New York City neighborhoods with her pup as well as checking out new restaurants around the city. When she's not spending time with her mini goldendoodle, Mochi, she is playing with her godchildren or watching a bunch of TV.
